Fender Exemptions

All Fender Exemptions expire on the 31st August annually. If you are a current holder of a Fender Exemption and have not received your renewal form in time for the renewal date, please contact us or download your renewal form here.
Fender Exemption Fees :
Initial Application $45.00 (incl GST)
Renewals $25.00 (incl GST)

Concept Approval Application Form - Fee $95.00 (Now sent directly to LVVTA)
Form 4A - The Concept Approval Application Form 4A is to be used when your project plan is just a concept, and you want confirmation that the idea you have in mind can be legally built. This is generally intended for projects that are out of the ordinary, or are particularly unique in some way. (Download - PDF File)

Design Approval Application Form - Fee $150.00 (Please send all applications and fees direct to LVVTA)
Form 4B - The Design Approval Application Form 4B is to be used when your project plan is more than just a concept, and you have a fairly firm and detailed plan in mind of what the various components and systems the vehicle is going to consist of.(Download - PDF File)

LVVTA Certifier List
Need to find a LVV Certifier in your area to sign off your Fender Exemption? Or maybe just to ask a question, click here to find a list from the LVVTA website. Those with a tick in the 1D column are qualified to certify your Fenderless vehicle.
Occupant Protection
All queries regarding the NZHRA Occupant Protection LVV Authority Card must be directed to the New Zealand Drag Racing Association office 0800 469 372.
